October 21, 2000
Mark & Anna Brooks started AHOP and held its first gathering in an American Legion Hall. About 150 people showed up to experience a “come as you are” environment. The goal wasn’t quantity of people, rather it was quality of encounters. A strong foundation was laid to continue to love people and the community.

2022
Pastor Mark & Anna felt God speaking to them that it was time to “pass the baton” of pastoring the church to Pastor Nathan & Star Funk. On September 25, 2022, with the support of the AHOP community and its leadership, a commissioning service was held to establish Nathan & Star as the lead pastors of AHOP, now know as Neighbors Church.
