NC Groups

"They met day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house." Acts 2:46

What are NC Groups?

A group consists of 3 or more people.   Groups provide a highly relational and intentional environment to see peoples’ lives transformed by a personal relationship with Jesus and as a result, see each person go live their faith and make an impact in their communities by guiding others to know and walk with Jesus.

God knows we need a loving group of people around us.  it is through groups that we can see the church family functioning in relationships of genuine love and practical care.  In Groups we celebrate personal victories, we support each other through difficult times, we believe in each other’s potential, and we show loyalty by keeping confidence.

Groups happen in coffee shops, homes, business and neighborhoods throughout the Miami Valley.

NC Groups provide
four things

1

Community - A place to belong

It’s east to feel alone in a crowd. Groups provide a place to belong and build relationships.  When you are in a group you experience the love and strength of biblical community and as result bring Gods love into your sphere of influence by loving your neighbor as yourself.

Hebrews 10:24-25
Psalm 68:6

Connection - To the resources you need

Imagine someone you can call when you’re discouraged, someone to pray with when you are doubting, and a group who can help you with practical care and resources for the needs you have.

Cultivation - A Place to Learn & Grow

Imagine someone who can teach you more about what God is like, a loving community of people who notice when you are away, gently sharpen you when you need it and who help you share your faith with others.

Proverbs 27:17
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

Contribution - To your community

A community to share your time, talent and treasure with, in practical ways to see the family of God cared for, supported and empowered to fulfill the purposes of God in your family and your community.

Romans 12:4-13

Lead a Group

Leading a Small Group isn’t about being perfect or knowing everything about the Bible, it’s about serving others by giving them a place to connect.

Hosting a group is simple—choose a topic that interests you and select a time and location to meet with others to share it.  You can also start a “Common Interest” group to connect with others who enjoy the same hobbies and activities you do.

We give you essential tools to make your Small Group successful through Leader Training, resources and an online directory where you can register your group so others can find it easily.

We believe people’s lives are changed through community and connection which helps us cultivate our daily walk with Christ. When you lead a Group, you are an important part of that growing process.

Be on the lookout for Future Group Leader Trainings throughout the year and contact us at groups@ahopxenia.com if you would like to talk with someone about starting a small group.
